International 184 PTO belts
Driveshaft out, I have new throwout bearing ready, and 2 new PTO belts. I have the PTO belts off the pulleys, but I can't see how to get them off the PTO clutch. Do I need to remove all 3 bolts? If I do that, will the clutch fly apart? Haelp, I'm at a standstill, and I don't want to mow with the dang riding mower again!

Yes, remove all 3 nuts to remove the belts. But first count the number of threads showing on the bolts so you can put the clutch back together at the same spring pressure. That pressure is important for the clutch to engage and release properly.

Re: International 184 PTO belts
Thanks! I assume the thread count on all 3 should be the same?

Yes, they should be quite even thread counts.

If you have a feeler gauge handy do worry about counting the threads. I replaced my pto belts on the 184 on a Friday evening and spent a couple minutes with a feeler gauge to "tune up" the pto clutch clearance

Re: International 184 PTO belts
Which way should the release yoke be installed? Mine had flat side toward clutch, but I have seen mention of the curved side going toward clutch.

Re: International 184 PTO belts
Flat side goes toward the rear of the tractor. (curved side toward the clutch)
See the parts manual TC-131 Section 7 Page 5 (Diagram CA-05845)
Note: to increase your confidence, there is an error on that diagram. It shows the clutch release bearing Zerk on the wrong side. The zerk should be on the left side of the tractor.
