restoration

Postby Andrew Scott » Tue Dec 14, 2021 1:36 pm

I have a cub lo boy and it's #3 for 1953 and it's been sitting in my field for 20 years and I want to know what engine I should use for it because the original engine is practically destroyed and unusable

Don has you covered on the engine. A little more info to ID your cub would be helpful. Most sources say that the offset loboy cubs were built from 1955-1968 beginning with SN501, then the number series loboy cubs were built from 1968-1980 (see chart attached, click on the chart to make it larger). More info is found at the top of this page. Welcome to the forum, when you make your 2nd post, you can access most of the features of the forum.
