Clutch brake adjusting bolt

Postby als » Fri Aug 17, 2018 12:48 pm

Hi all.
Ok now more P.O. fixes to deal with.
Clutch brake adjusting bolt in pics isn’t the same as in my 185.
Shows what looks like a plain bolt with drilled for cotter pin, washer and springs. Mine has plain bolt. That’s it. Making all of this is no problem other knowing what to make. Lol. Hate to spend a bunch of money on a bolt with a hole in it. Can anyone give me dimensions of the bolt a pond location of the hole from the head? Spring size would be nice also. All of this is available at local hardware store. Short the hole.
Also should the brake pucks be free enough to slide in the retainer? Or do they press? Ones 1 slides 1 presses. All new retainer and pucks From HB.

I think the answer is to purchase the bolt. Probably HB has a used one.
I have an excuse. CRS.

I guess so.
I’ll try IH dealer, or ebay. So far I’m not impressed with the after market stuff I have been paying big bucks for, just to pay to ship it back.

The springs are not critical nor is the bolt length. 5/16 bolt with one hole for a cotter pin. The ruler was at the brake lever so add another 3/4 inch to the bolt length. The pucks should move freely in the holder.
