Hey all,
I have an IH belly mower on my 74 154. It's a single blade and the deck measures 48"ish. I'm trying to replace the belt, it's almost gone but good enough to match up. The problem is that no one around me carries belts any where near that size around me. Can anyone tell me a size to order online? I've seen a bunch of guesses and there's nothing in the PDF manual on the site.
Thanks!

Sonny
You're right, the blades measure 42 the deck measures like 47. I had been told it was a 48 when I got it last year and never really checked it. I would really like to have that 3160?, 60 inch mower, but this still Cuts great except I keep throwing this worn belt.
Does that mean it's the C2?

Local auto parts stores. They may not have the belt in stock, but can certainly order one for you.Bomar wrote:The problem is that no one around me carries belts any where near that size around me.

As a general rule, if the angle iron supports that run from the mower deck back to the mule drive are straight, it's a C-2. If they angle on the deck it's a Woods. There are some other brands that are less common that could confuse the issue. If you're sure it's IH, then it should be a C-2. Can you post a picture?

Re: IH belly mower 48"? Belt help
You likely have an IHC 3142. Should be a model plate on the far left top deck. For a 7 3/4 inch pto pulley, around 4 1/2 inch idler pulleys, the belt I use is a b150 which would be 153 inch outside diameter. The IHC belt for this mower on a 154 is listed as 154 inch which I assume is the outside diameter and would be a B151 belt.
The pulleys may have changed over the years which will change the belt size needed.
