Cub lowboy 154

Postby bigmoose » Sat Feb 17, 2018 6:13 am

Did they make a lowboy demonstrator. I just came into one that was painted yellow but underneath its all white. And im having trouble with crossing the serial number to a year model.

No. The 154 lo boy tractors came out in 1969. The only cub demonstrators were out in early 1950. I've see, several early 154 tractors that the yellow paint faded to almost white due to exposure to the sun, so I guess you're seeing that. Someone probably just painted over the original faded paint.

The original owner may have been some company that painted all their equipment white.

What is the serial number?

For numbered cubs the serial number plate should be on left front side, top of the frame, just behind the radiator.

If that doesn't work, standard Cubs have the serial number plate on the bolster/lower radiator housing, right side of tractor.
I have an excuse. CRS.
