is there a specific one that fits a 184 or does everyone need to be adapted/fabricated?

Most if not all PTO driven hydraulic pumps are for the standard PTO. You can purchase the 10 spline adapter to fit the standard PTO.
What are you planning on using the rear mounted hydraulic pump for?

If I was going to use a rear pto driven hyd pump on my 154 I’d have to belt drive it using two vee belt pullies(double belts). It’s only 1,000rpm not enough for a hydraulic pump to have the correct gpm. I would need at least 2,000rpm, the instructions on the pump will tell you what constant rpm for what pressure.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

When you get a pump make sure it turns the same direction as the PTO.

I purchased hydraulic pumps that can turn in either direction.

Log Splitter? Front end loader?
Some pumps run at 3,000 rpm to get the correct gpm.

Re: If I want to run a rear mounted hydraulic pump . .
The PTO spinning in the opposite direction and at engine speed rather than 540 RPM, kind of rules out trying to use any PTO driven pump readily available. You might consider just using an automobile power steering pump and run it off the fan belt. I know a guy here that uses cubs for digging post holes, and that's what he does..... but he also re-powers them with Chevy 4.3L engines and actually runs 3 or 4 pumps in order to supply the auger, boom cylinders, down riggers, etc. It's quite the setup, but it works.
Remember, if you do use your PTO to run a pump, you limit that machine and prevent it from being able to run a mower. Again, a good reason to go with a belt drive on the engine.

The int154 pto spins at 1,000rpm. You can get hydraulic pumps that run either direction.
http://www.surpluscenter.com you could possibly use belts on the rear of the pto to get the correct rpm for the pump.

Your right I couldn’t remember if it was 1,000 or 1,800rpm. Brain fade at old age. To hit a 3,000rpm pump speed a 3 to 1 ratio on the belt pullies.

Re: If I want to run a rear mounted hydraulic pump . .
I been thinking of installing a fcub pto in the 154 tranny to run the back hoe. This way the 154 pto setup won’t get the abuse.
