154 loader
I am going to build a small loader for my 154. Has anyone got one and can I run the hydraulics off of the tractor hyd. or off the pto? Didnt know if the tractor hyd would have oil enough or speed enough.

Re: 154 loader
Most will tell you that the tractor hydraulics "will" operate the loader, but they have found that a remotely mounted/dedicated hydraulic pump will work faster and better. The tractor hydraulic pump is fairly small, and has a low volume, so it works rather slow.

Re: 154 loader
I have a loader on my 154, uses the IHC belt drive pump. I have no idea the GPM of the pump but looks similar in size to a standard cub pump. I have also had a loader on an Fcub that had 2 inch cylinders and ran off the engine pump. Both go up and down about the same, not fast, but similar speeds.

Re: 154 loader
i thank you. I have one that has three extra hydraulic connectors would be a shame not to use them.
