Wow, that is huge. Do you know what type horseradish and how old the root is?

We make up horseradish but only a pint or so at a time.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Our roots are pretty small, compared to that one but we made up a couple pints last fall. Good stuff for sure!

I like the smaller roots better, and this hill was 3 years old!---I harvested it about 3 years ago, and let it re-grow again.--I re-planted the bigger parts of it and made several more new hills from it, plus a couple pints to eat.---It is good and I like it on most foods, (except cake! lol!)---a little goes a long way!
Forgot to say it is an old variety from an old farmstead that had been there for over 100 years, so I got some starts from the plants they had growing in the fence row of the old garden area when they bulldozed the place down to get space for another corn plant! thanks; sonny

Sonny,

I had better send Kroger buyers your way, with the new flavor of Potato Chips coming out they may need a back-up horseradish supplier! :)

Years ago my mother had a big old blender. It had a big glass bowl. I dug up my horse radish and went over to her house to borrow it. When I got to my truck she yelled be careful of that it's glass and I won't be able to replace it. I reached for the door handle of my truck and smash the glass went on the driveway. :(
