Crazy weather

April 23rd and I planted 25 blackberry crowns in the snow this morning….I waited till it warmed up to 35 degree's though…I wonder if anybody saw me watering in the snow scuds…. …..Colder tonight and in the mountains…..Dave

DANG!!!---we don't have snow,--BUT late frosts are giving me fits this year! thanks; sonny

It was 28 last night but in the forties today…Only thing I got in is Peas and they haven't broke ground yet….All the Strawberry beds are cleaned up…Working on a couple of tractors waiting for About Mid May to plant….Maybe later…I normally run out of patience and have to replant.. ….Not this year …probably should spray the fruit trees again though…Dave

I had 2 foot tall tater plants that I started in the house,--got froze off at ground level,--radishes are inch tall, the celery plants are various heights, most are 3" or so and ok so far,--cabbage plants are almost a foot tall and look fairly good so far! peas/taters/carrots not up--5,500 onion plants looking good!
did get about 100 strawberry plants transplanted a couple days ago,-- .7" rain today/high wind, so no outside work for me!---strawberries are starting to bloom and so are fruit trees,--which I still need to start spraying! thanks; sonny

Normally thats how I make it rain…..I spray …I can even cause unexpected sun showers... Dave

its been going down in the high 20s over night here... it sure is crazy weather, it probably will go from winter to summer, and skip spring. and that's ok with me, I am so tired of the cold weather.

Weather is supposed to break tomorrow and become normal so the weatherman sayth this morning….Getting lots of shop time of late anyway…. …..BTW , having a large shortage of pellet stove material (pellets) around here , no one has any….
