You're close Stanton, it actually reads "Harrison Farm Equipment Harrison, Ohio". That was the name of Uncle Art's business.

I had one very similar from one of my Grandfathers tractors. The one I had if I could remember had just one IH symbol on it. Being a young stupid teenager at the time, I didn’t take care of it and put it on top of a well house in a machine shed and forgot to recover it before the farm was sold.

I have an umbrella like that one pictured that Dad used, but it was used and abused for years while cultivating corn and beans. Mr. E has the umbrella bracket on his(/my) Super M. The pith helmet is another matter.....it's nearly mint.

David, my cousin said he had over 2,000 slides to scan and a lot more in photos. He may be a while. Not all of them are farm related. He said he will send them as he gets them.

The good old days!
We had a barn cleaner. You raked the manure from around the cows into the trough. Then the paddles in the trough were only two inches high. It went around the barn behind the cows. Then it went up the ramp into the spreader outside the barn. One year we didn't have straw for bedding. So we got a tractor trailer of sawdust from the sawmill. That's where the problem started. The manure won't go up the ramp. I had to take a flat shovel and put it next to the paddles and try to walk up the ramp. Then it wouldn't stay in the manure spreader it kept running out the back. After a couple of weeks of sub zero weather. There was a frozen pile where the spreader had to be under the ramp. At 13 years old I took a chain saw and cut it in squares and put them on wagon. The squares looked like a nestles crunch bar. Because there was nothing but sawdust and manure. The hayfield I put the squares in looked like a checker board in the spring.
