Proud Dad Moment

We finished husking our 1-1/2 acre corn patch by hand a few weeks ago and I wanted to fall plow that patch.
About a week ago it was getting fit with rain in the forecast, so I made a few rounds. It was not quite fit, so I went on to another project and mentioned to my boys (I've got 3 of them-8,10,12 yrs) that'd I'd start in the following evening after work and would have to run till finished which would likely be after well after Midnight because over an inch of rain was forecast for the following day and cold weather and freeze was coming which would make it likely the last chance for tillage till spring.
Well the next day while working my wife calls and tells me my oldest boy has surprise for me.
She home schools our 4 kids, and without her knowing it, the 12 yr old had gotten up before 6, did most of his school work before morning chores, and started plowing by 9 am.
She asked the 10 yr old why his brother didn't come up from the barn after chores and he told her he was getting the cub out to plow to surprise me.
He plowed ALL Day stopping only for dinner at noon. When I got home around 5:30 he was nearly done. I offered to finish, but he wanted to finish since he'd made it that far. He finished just after dark with the headlights burning.
Needless to say, not only did he save me a few hours, he made Dad pretty proud.
Here's a pic my wife took shortly after he started that morning.
