Any one contract propane for this coming winter? Have checked with local propane suppliers, letters announcing contract prices are due out in a week or two.

I don't have a contract with anyone, which allows me to shop around. I got my summer fill notice from my preferred supplier, last week, at $1.59. There's another supplier, that I'm sure is lower, but I haven't contacted them to find out.

I missed the low of the summer but I am still filling at $1.40 a gallon, that is customer owned tank at least 400 gallon purchase. The other supplier I have used in the past wanted $1.74 so I pulled the trigger because it will be rising from here on out.

So far, only one of the three propane suppliers has posted a contract price, $1.499 per gallon in customer owned tank. That's about 50 cents a gallon lower than last winters contract price. That would be a $300- to $350- saving over the previous winter.

Final contract prices from the 3 local propane dealers: $1.599, $164, and $184 per gallon.

The previously stated $1.499 is the summer fill price from the dealer with the $1.599 price. So gonna contract for 600 gallons and have the tank filled at the $1.499 price.
