We were just enjoying an outdoor fireplace in the front yard when two good sized bucks walk right past looking for some tasty crab apples. They did not seem to mind us for the most part. I do mind them, especially when they start nipping at the buds on my Fig trees.
I guess this is what happens when neighbors two doors down feed deer practically by hand with corn from a bucket. Literally, the dear are within just a few feet while they are putting out the corn for them.

Well if you hunt, you'll know where they will be on opening day.

Hey Russ and Dale,
I know many might even say "looks like supper". Of course, no hunting in the city limits here. Though, I have heard a good number of gun shots in the evenings around here. If I were a betting man, I would guess that someone is poaching.
While I do not condone it, it just might save a few people a couple of fenders and hoods around here.

Dave don't worry about it. To big to fit in that grill any way.

Bill,
True, too big to fit in that grill. I do have a nice size freezer though too
There is a fellow just up the shore a ways and he has a spit that might be able to handle just about most of one of them. though, I have never seen a deer on a spit before.

Got about 130 people coming for the pig roast Saturday. Not a CubFest, but a family tradition we have been doing for over 30 years. I don't know that I would want to try venison on the spit.

Bill, that pig toaster would handle a deer. Might need to wrap it with bacon, for the grilling, though. Ed
