Disked some "finished' areas of the garden, yesterday, and planted winter rye. Disked a new plot, old pasture, plowed a few weeks ago,for next year's grain corn path,and seeded that, also. Rain coming this afternoon, and tonight, should water in, the rye seeds. Ed

If it rains at your place like it's been raining here, it may wash the rye seeds away!!!

Raining on all sides and I got nothing...

After days of hearing"flood Warnings", "high wind warnings" we got stiff breezes, and a half inch of rain. No rye, in the Atlantic. Ed

We got it to the west. Three plus inches this week and some pretty good winds last night. Still a bit of rain now but it looks like the end.

We got 6 plus inches. That puts us only 1 plus inch under for the year. They said that the flooding would have been a lot worse if the ground had not been so dry.

Rye is 3 inches tall. Didn't wash away,obviously. Ed

Mine's about 4 inches.

Bush hogged the rest of the garden, after Sunday's frost. Plowed and disked, this afternoon Seeded rye tonight. !-2 inches of rain, coming tomorrow, should water it in, for good germination. Ed

I finished tilling the garden this afternoon and seeded with winter wheat. Didn't have any rye left. I'm waiting for the same rain, Ed.
