Ruined green pumpkin

My wife is very thrifty, especially with food. The deer and groundhogs play havoc with the garden in spite of our heroic efforts to keep them out. Something ate part of a small green pumpkin. Instead of tossing it in the composter, she sliced the remainder as she would zucchini, rolled it in the same meal mix as for the squash and fried it. Very little different from squash. So it was not totally wasted.
Tough broccoli stalks are chopped fine and added to vegetable soup. Just a couple of the things that help our food bills remain low.

We have been using a 50/50 mix of water and sour milk. Got the idea from Debbie McCombs. So far it has worked great. No dear, woodchucks or rabbits.
