Emus and Rheas

Postby lane01 » Wed Mar 14, 2007 6:44 pm

I have heard that either emus or rheas are good at keeping hawks and various other mean critters away from chickens. Has anyone heard this or found this to be true? Do they both do it or is it only one? I would like to get something to protect the chickens. Lemme know. Thanks....

are they pretty good shots? They sound like cousins of Rufus and Jethro. What are they?

They are very large, ostrich-like birds Clem.
