Complain to your US congressional representatives. They’re the only ones who can do anything about it.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
No. But they did accomplish something. They voted themselves a $32,000- pay raise under the guise that the money is not a pay raise, it's to cover expenses.Flemmingth wrote:Are they really able to change sunrise and sunsetDon McCombs wrote:Complain to your US congressional representatives. I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
I am completely ok with standard time. Springing forward almost puts me in the hospital for a week! Not really, but it sure messes with my internal clock. I wish we'd never spring forward again.
I have to be at school at 6:45 AM, so I'm enjoying leaving home in a little bit of daylight right now. I'm pretty much spent at the end of the day so early evenings don't bother me a bit.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
All of the reasons for changing time are not now, or were never, relevant.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
Someone had posted the analogy used by Native Americans: "Daylight savings is like cutting 6" off one end of a blanket, sewing it onto the other end, and thinking you have a longer blanket".

I'm getting better at falling, not so much springing.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
Changing the time twice a year is a safety hazard, as mentioned the internal clock. This may put some drivers into a situation that they're driving with lack of sleep. Then, the sudden time change makes some drivers who hadn't been driving into the sun, now are. It's not a subtle, slow change that the sun makes on a natural basis, but a sudden hour's difference the next day.
