Before I was using an ele fence the racoons would tell when it is ready.

Wont your tomatoes keep growing?

Seems like mine go till the frost gets them, and even then they are still blossoming.

At some point I get tired of covering them and let the frost get them!

I inagine your a long ways off from a frost!

Yes they will keep growing for a while yet. If the bugs and the heat ease up a bit I might start getting enough decent looking ones to sell. My produce stand is a hobby so it’s not a big deal if I don’t sell any but I sure miss talking with everyone that has become regular customers over the last couple years

No rain from the storm in the pics.!--just winds in excess of 50 mph and one town recorded 75 mph!
We finished getting the onions in,---now to cure them then store a few for us and give the rest away. First corn done,--now gotta mow the stalks off. last planting may or not make anything. Might not pollinate this year.

Started picking sugar snap peas, sweet corn, and some green beans.

Time to fill up the belly, the freezer and sell some along the way!

I ate 5 ears today. 2 for breakfast, 3 for diner!

Thinking I need a dairy cow (jersey) next and make my own butter!

Maybe some ice crem too! :)

Thanks All, I appreciate the corn notifications! I'll peel a couple back and see if they are ready to pick.
I also often think about having a cow or two. Fresh Butter, Milk, and Cream sound amazing. Kinda makes vacations impossible though.

Especially if it would be from a organic grass fed moo moo!

Been there. Twice a day milking, processing the milk, handling the feed, and manure. I think I'll continue to buy the butter, milk, cheese, and ice cream.

Beef cattle, much better.

Tomatoes $2.00 per pound, -- and not very tasty at the local farmers market.

Finally getting twice a week vendors at the local farmers market. One individual is selling some local grown produce and some purchased from a wholesale market. Other is entirely home grown.

Only sweet cron this year is some daughter brought down from Iowa. Local vendors, none.
I have an excuse. CRS.
