Great guns!! Congrats to your wife on another deer--and a nice one at that!

Yep, mud can be really slick. Got stuck turkey hunting one year in northern Missouri. Had to knock on a farmer's door early morning to get his tractor to pull me out. What a considerate soul he was to help a fool like me.

Thanks! She and I have both shot twice each and both of us have killed two 8 pts. each. Never happened with us before, we are so blessed. Now I'm gonna take our son and see if he can shoot one, he's 7 1/2 and says he's ready. We will see if one walks out and if he can get it done!

This hunting season has been so blessed, Cole got his first one today. Button head with his .243. He’s 7, I was 15 when I got my first one. I got it on video too. I’m as excited as the day I got my first one.

Jerky, sausage, hamburger, we have the tenderloins sliced and usually cook those in the crockpot in mushroom gravy over rice or noodles. We don’t buy any meat in the grocery store unless we have too.

Smoked one of the hams off Cole’s deer today for supper, delicious!

My father in law won’t eat deer, at least he says he won’t. He eats it at our house when we have spaghetti or chili. He called after Cole killed his deer and told my wife we should buy meat in the store. She said “somebody killed that too”. He didn’t say much after that.

Well my hunting group of 5 guys had a good year here in KY too. We killed twelve deer in total. I made 25 lbs. of summer sausage last week and cured it on the smoker, YUM!
