My cousin went hunting today and had to put his blind back up from all the wind we’ve had. He checked his camera when he got home and had a picture of it blowing away this morning.

Wife pinched on another 8 pt yesterday. He dropped in the corn @96 yards. Our son was with her. Our son ask me “dad, how do you get a deer to drop?” I said “son, ask your momma, all mine run off”.

Re: 2019 Deer season

It rained here all day yesterday and today, she called me and ask me and baby girl to come get the deer. She was in the suburban and we park on top of the hill. We went over and slid all the way down the road, it was like ice it was so slick. We couldn’t get out by the road after loading the deer so I tried the alternate route. Got stuck and had to leave the Toyota overnight. Got a friend with 160’ of 1 1/2” rope and hauled our 4630 over today and pulled it out.

Pay no attention to the Texas plate, a friend of mine knows I like to hunt and gave it to me.

Haha, no! This camera makes it look darker than it is on every picture after sunset. I think sunset was 5:08 and legal shooting hours here are 30 minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes after sunset. It was raining too so that don't help camera pictures :D

The time stamps on the cameras really tell the story. That first photo said 5:15pm and the next two photos were 5:21 and the deer was down at 5:22. 10 minutes later the last photo was taken.

Wish a deer would give me 5 minutes. I struggle to get them to stop for a second while they are walking through at a hurried pace.
No baiting allowed in Michigan this year and extremely limited use of doe scents.

You are right! She text me when he came out and ask if she should shoot, we text back and forth and she said she was shooting. 5 minutes is a lot of time for a deer to be in front of you. That doesn't include when he came out of the woods and was walking across the field.
