Sickle bar/belly mower pulley

Postby M6Scout » Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:22 pm

Hello all,
what’s the correct size (PTO) pulley For my sickle bar?
Is my 42” belly mower one the same size?

Thanks

Sickle mower pulley can be 4" or 4 1/2". I depends on the year of the tractor, but either one will work.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

And the belly mower pulley would not line up with the sickle mower pulley. A proper sickle mower pulley sticks out past the end of the pto and belly mower pulley does not. And there would be the difference in speed to think about

When you find a proper pulley, inspect it carefully, the sickle mower vibration is hard on pulley splines, especially if it is not kept tight on the shaft. Don't be shocked at the asking price for them, they aren't cheap, but there are a few out there.

Agreed. And know that the sickle mower pulley for a Loboy is different. It does not stick out as far. Check out the sickle mower pics on TM’s site. Link is here on the forum under links directory or just google them. And check out the manual here on the forum under pdf manuals
In fact, the loboy pulley mounts backwards from the FCub pulley
