The new format makes sense, it is easy to use, it allows comments which is helpful and if the poster inputs the proper data, not only can you shop by state/province you can even see where the item is in the community  . Like in my post Farmall Cub or IH Cub. You get Google Maps .. like how cool is that? Now as long as those who have their items for sale actually indicate their location then it will be a heck of a lot easier than it was to find out where it is according to your location and how far you got to travel to get it. This makes a lot of sense to me. I also like the 30 day lifespan. Makes even more sense.

Everyone always resists change. This is a step forward and a step up. Many of you may disagree, but you probably were not around in the old days ... back in 02 and previously.... this is slick :!: :D

I always checked out the stuff for sale, bought a few things from Boss and tst and was very satisfied....Tried it today and thought I got referred to a different website....Seemed like a run-off of ebay....Some of the prices were :censored: :censored: ....Anyhow, I read Boss's remarks and I guess I must have missed his items, so I'll check again...Change is supposed to be good in the long run at least thats what the President ?????? says.... :stooges: Dave

From what I see, the prices are the same as the sellers were asking on the old forum. In fact some of the sellers had just cut and pasted their old forum ads into the new classifieds.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I just tried posting ad with pics and I've got to resize. And just too much to get through to post a simple ad. I'll just use eBay and CL till this improves. I tried to give it a chance but I'm still not liking the new format. At all

Thomas, the old way required pix to be certain size also. There really isn't much difference in the method. Keep in mind, using this forum esposes your items to about the largest Cub audience you can find.

I used to fight with picture posting on this forum (for months!!!) and asked numerous times for assistance, which I received each and every time I asked. I didn't like the photo host program at all. However, I did learn how to do it and am now very comfortable with posting pics any time I want to. It is sort of like learning to ride a bike, a few bumps and bruises until I learned to balance the rascal, now it is no problem. Stick with it and you will master it.

Barnyard,I don't want to get into a big deal about who's prices are seemingly high.....My fault for bringing it up....I apologise....This is still the best site on the web....Time to move on and let the guys who run this site do their job as they see fit....I think Rob in NH said what most guys are concerned about.....Hope we never lose the friendliness expressed in this forum....Nuff said.....Dave

I've posted 2 wanted ads and have had responses on both to my email account. I've tried responding to both to finalize a sale and I have received nothing back from either seller in weeks. I felt when we PM'd a member, we knew who was receiving it and if they read it. Now I have no idea if the seller is even receiving my responses.

I also must agree with Rob.

Hi all... I just registered for an account on the classified section, and it was painless. Posted my ad, and it was painless. Also replied to a poster's ad and again, painless.

I have only one suggestion. Can the site be set up to send a confirmation or take you to a confirmation page when you complete an action? The only thing that is not as painless is that you don't know whether your message actually sent when you hit submit as it just takes you back to the blank page that you were on. It almost feels like your reply was erased when you clicked submit. If there were a confirmation page, it would give "peace of mind" to the respondent...

Thanks for your help!

Mike
