Have you tried a Cub Cadet or IH dealership?

Have you tried searching the internet using the engine model number and not the tractor model number?
I have an excuse. CRS.

Not sure if you found them yet, but they're standard parts pretty much available anywhere. Here's a quick list from an e-bay search. Looks like the going price is around $20 to $35, depending on the exact parts needed.

Thanks a lot Bill. Some guy told me they were $100. Got any new additions lately.

There is an ID plate attached to the engine, usually on the cowling. Copy down these numbers. Then go to the internet to find advertised selling prices.

Red,
Yea, like Eugene said, write down the engine model and serial number info from the tag, an either look it up online or go to NAPA (I think they have those in Canada) or any good auto parts store and they can order them. Onan parts are a little more expensive than Kohler, but basically in the same price range.

I just picked up a really nice Cub Cadet 1863 with a 48" deck and 42" snow blade, that I'm swapping out with my 1811 at the hunting camp. I brought the 1811 home and cleaned it up, threw it on Craigslist, and had it sold within a couple of days. Guess I didn't ask enough....

I haven't really been working on the tractors much since we bought the new house last year. I'm in the middle of finishing the basement in the new house, which is 1800 sqft of extra living space. I'm finishing about 1300 sqft of it, two new offices/bedrooms, a third bedroom, and a 14 x 30 family room. I got all the framing, wiring, HVAC, and lighting done on the whole thing, then concentrated on finishing the 3 smaller rooms, insulation, drywall, paint, floors. I finished all of that between Jan 1 and present, but I've had to basically stop working on it because of outside house work. Outside I've been working on landscaping (moved a bunch of useless old landscaping and planted 6 new trees and 6 new bushes) and clearing more of the land. I've probably cleared another acre, and have probably a half mile of trails cleared.

Lastly, work is busier and I now have projects throughout NY, so I travel a bunch too. This week I was in Utica for 3 days, next week is Jamestown, Rochester, Syracuse, and Bradford, PA. So, I haven't had much time for the hobbies.......

Bill you have been busy. We just got back from 2 weeks in Alberta. My son had bought a new place plus the arrival of Grandson #2 was the big event. 8.5lb baby boy. Will be in touch.

Use the engine model number and search the internet for ignition point gap. There are several how to's on setting Onan ignition points.
