A friend of mine has a Cub Cadet 3225 with a 48 inch deck. He was wondering if you can get a 54 inch deck for it. Would any of the newer decks work, are they generic or would it have to be for the 3225 only.

Since that is a fairly new Cub Cadet, the answer is probably, but he needs for a dealer to answer that. Most 3000 series use a shaft driven deck, so no, it is not it is not generic. A newer model 3235 was available with a 44", 48", 54" or 60" deck, all shaft driven, so a larger one is most likely available for a 3225............but he probably wants to be sitting down when he prices it.
