The diesel's were all built by Cub Cadet Corp (MTD), after they bought the Cub Cadet line in 1981. They built the red painted 782D, that were sold by IH Dealers, in 1984 & 85. The yellow and white 882 was only built in 1984, but other yellow and white models with a diesel were built in 1985 and later, including an 1882 I believe. IH built the 82 series Cub Cadets from Jul 1980 to April 81, but never built one with a diesel in it. People I am aware of that have or had one of the diesels seemed to like them. Good engine it appears. MTD also built a Cub Cadet with a 3 cyl Kabota gas engine.

Thanks Paul I am considering bidding but have not fully made up my mind. The 3 cylinderwet diesel makes me feel that it will run a a lower Rpm the a single or a twin cylinder.
