Cadet snow blower
I am looking at an old C36U1111 blower I would like to adapt to a Cub. I plan to follow Rick Prentice's fabrication to make it work. Anybody have an idea what something like this is worth before I make an offer.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Cadet snow blower
I believe that model was a belt driven unit for the Cadet lawn tractors. It probably isn't as heavy duty as the shaft driven units built for the Cub Cadet garden tractors. I would say $50.00 if it's complete and in good condition.

No hardware that I know of, but it has been sitting for over twenty years and hardly used before that.

Re: Cadet snow blower
Had one mounted on a hydrostatic Cub Cadet. Wet heavy or deep snow, didn't work well. Actually didn't work at all.
Sold the complete snow blower at a consignment auction for $10-. Had the same snow blower listed on this board and did not receive any offers.

I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: Cadet snow blower
Bill,
That unit is only 36 inches wide, and probably won't work well on a Cub because it's so narrow. I'd look around for one of the later 42" snow blowers as they will be nearly as wide as the tractor and a bit heavier built.

Bill, in your Cadet experience Is $50.00 about right on the unit or would it be worth more/less?

Yea, $50 isn't a bad price. I'm not sure if that one had the angle gear box or I'd it was belt drive but the angle gear boxes are getting scarce and are worth that amount by themselves.

Re: Cadet snow blower
I would look for a two stage snow blower. I used the 36" cadet on my 108 cadet with the creeper and it didn't throw the snow very far. I think of using a front end loader would be better.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
