Bought a 1650 (no running) with all of the attachments, 50" mower, Snow blower, blade with hydraulic tilt, chains and 3sets of w/wts. Bought it very reasonable and had it started at one time about a month ago but now cant get it to start. Has compression, has gas in the tank, put a new set of points in and watchched the points while turning over and sometimes I have spark and then it stops, put a new coil on and the same thing, Ether in the carb but no combustion and no start. I have 4 other cadets, Original, 100,102 and 125 and these have never stumped me before. Any help to solve would be appreciated. Thanks
Also when it di start it shook like the dickens, motor mount issue??

I would start double checking your PTO switch and other safety interlock systems like the seat switch, and brake pedal switch. The seat and brake pedal are quick and easy to test with an ohm meter to check continuity or open when the switch is depressed. The PTO switch can be a pain to check out and you'll need the wiring diagram to figure out how to jumper and check the switch. Regardless, if any of these is not working correctly, it will prevent the electrical circuit from firing the engine.
My guess is the PTO switch as the others rarely fail.

Bingo. I had a Cub Cadet 1200 that was intermittent like that. Finally, out of desperation, I bought a new PTO switch. Never had another problem out of my 1200 Cub Cadet after that.
Your other question: Shaking: Probably the engine mounts, but if your points are not set correctly, it'll cause your engine to shake, rattle and roll too.

Though trillions and trillions of eyes have been watching the skies for as long as human memory exists, no gods nor angels have been seen or documented outside of religion. The number of spaceships being sighted however has become much more prevalent.
