Can someone tell me the years 1450's were built. Are they a good unit?

I can answer one of your questions, they were made from 1974 - 1980 and considered part of the Quietline Series. I am a narrow frame guy but those models seem to have a good following. I believe the ISO motor mounts are their biggest concern.

Good luck,
David

Red,
I've had a few of them and they good machines. The ISO mounts typically only go bad in the gear drive tractors and cause the clutch to wear badly. Good, solid machines and easy to work on. The 1450 is quite a powerhouse!!! They have a stater and a separate Delco starter, which is much less expensive to repair than the starter/generators used on the older CCs. They can be a bit of a rattle trap, with all the heat shields on the engine, but some sheet metal screws and a little time can get all those taken care of.

Thanks fellows for the 1450 info. I think the $1500 with 3 pieces of equipment is about the max it is worth.(blower, mower, tiller)

Our 1450 is been a awesome tractor TILL, the front rim came off while my son was riding it. It has spindles on it, id like to see a way to put true bolt on rims on it. The factory style has a really weak bearing design. Super stout tractor besides that. If anyone can point me to a thread for the best way to repair the front rims i would appreciate it. Thanks guys
