wider rims bigger tires, front rims?

Postby BigBill » Mon Apr 28, 2014 1:15 pm

I purchased a few pairs of the JD rear turf tires. They appear to be 14" wide. I found the 12" diameter x 14" wide with 4 1/2" bc with 5 lug aluminum rear rims. Now I changed the front axles to the 1" diameter with the rims. I now need the aluminum 8" rims for the front. Or my other option is having the rims chromed? Or changing the front rims to 4 or 5 lug if the rims are available. What do you think?

I want to pimp out my wife's 1200 cub cadet with every option I can add. It's her mower.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Bill,
They make a ton of aftermarket wheels for golf carts. I would think something like this could be adapted to a Cub Cadet front spindle. You may have to cut the center out of one of your regular CC wheels, drill, and bolt it to this rim, but I would think that would be easy enough to do. I'm not sure I'd spend the money for new fron spindles, but it's problably 6 one, half dozen the other.

We'll definitely want to see some pics of the pimped out ride!
