Hooked on buying hydro's

First I want to say hi. I been battling prostate cancer for the past few months. My doctors say I have it beat that's why I had no energy for my projects for the last few years. I say get your PSA checked its only a blood test. This cancer seems to be a growing problem in men young and old. Please get your PSA checked. Enough said.

I been purchasing cub cadet hydro' s lately. Non runners. I have a guy who brings me every cub cadet he finds. So far I have a 123 & two 129's. I find easy fixes on some of them. The last 129 I just purchased the bakelite that holds the lever part of the ignition points cracked. After cleaning the points with a point file and still had no spark I removed them to find it in two pieces. This 129 came with a larger mower deck too. Overall we still can get some awesome buys out there.

My 70 cub cadet with the 29"-1250-15 tru-power tires if you remember Sat almost a year with seafoam In it. We put a new battery in it and she fired right up.

I have no clue why I'm messing with cub cadets but there fun too. God bless, bigbill

BTW, I still have "10" geared cub cadets too. My yard looks like an " IH" junk yard the misses says but it's really money on the hoof sort of speak.

As far as mowing goes, I will never willingly buy another gear drive! Glad to hear you are making progress health-wise and on the CC's!

Yea, once you get used to the hydros, there's no turning back. If you ever move up to a foot controlled hydro, same thing, no turning back.

Bill, glad to hear you got it beat. That's a tough one! Best wishes on a good & speedy road to recovery!

Bill

The VA runs bloodwork for me twice a year which includes PSA. Downside is the doc also believes in the old digital check. :big what: The foot hydro is nice for mowing with the only thing better is a zero turn. Geared however is far better for controlled spreading and spraying of pesticides. My GT2186 has a lock on the hydro which is ok but I would really rather have gears. Vern
