I have 2 questions:
What is the original style battery cables for my 1863, (gauge and type of terminal)?
What is sthe original style battery for the 1863, (size and terminal style)?
THANKS!

Re: 1863 Original Battery Cables and Battery
I just replaced the cables on my 1864 (same tractor with power seering). I went to NAPA and bought a package kit they have with a positive and negative terminal, already crimped on about 4-feet of red and black cable. They worked perfect.
The original battery IS an automotive battery, with lead posts on the top. I'm not sure of the size, but it is a bugger to get into the space under the dash. Unfortunately, my tractor is out at the hunting camp, so I cannot get photos or measurements for you.

Re: 1863 Original Battery Cables and Battery
Thanks so much for the info. See you're from WNY. We are from Wheatfield originally, (Cub Heaven). Don't see as many Cubs down here in Texas. I'll go get the cables from NAPA and get a car battery that fits. Thanks again!

Small world. My kids go to school in Wheatfield. Good luck.
