4WD Cub
Found these pictures on another site. Thought I'd share.
I can't tell for sure if it can be disengaged or not.
Somebody went through a lot of time, trouble, and $$ on this project.
I don't think he'll fit a mower deck under it anymore...
...it just so happens I have one of those golf cart diff's in my shop... Hmmm!

That was built by Dan Hoffler of Kaukauna, WI, and yes it can be disengaged. He also built a crawler from a Cub Cadet 100, and a CC 100 Hi-Clear.

I saw his other projects too, all very good. This one grabbed my attention. The man has talent for sure.

Re: 4WD Cub
From that full rack pic I guess we all could handle a few more cubs... if space were the problem.
IHC made a quality machine and was leader of the pack.Let's keep them running,

I think the pix and drawing pretty much tell the story.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: 4WD Cub
Nice work.
I been thinking about a 4x4 like that. Taking the drive from the rear axle but you need a spool in the rear. Plus a locking diff in the front. Full 4x4 for the woods off road no baby or toy.

Re: 4WD Cub
Using an older jeep willy's drive train you can shorten the longer tube and get a new shorter axle from whitney or a parts house for both diffs. Using the 4 cylinder f head, transfer case and tranny there's not that much to making it happen.
My jeep tractor has lasted for two decades+++. It will still be running when I'm long gone.

Re: 4WD Cub
Someday I'd like to build a 4X4 tractor inbetween the size of a cadet and 154. This would allow me to use the jeep drive train and engine.

Bob Gabel is/was building an Economy 4 wheel drive tractor using jeep parts.
