What a nice little 73! I think the next time I get back into Cadets, I'm going to go for the low hp series, original, 70, 72, 73, etc. Those little tractors are just tanks, and are a lot of fun to play with!

THANKS VERY MUCH... it is a "fun" little tractor  AND, the direct drive gives it a LOT of "pull power" even with a Brinly #10 plow behind it. I remember the 7 hp Kohler in our Gravely garden tractor when I was a kid. It pulled me with lots of power through our garden and threw up stones as BIG as pumpkins with its rotary plow  ...'Country'

Country,
Nice 73 and plow!!! They look great! Really makes one look forward to spring plowing. Can't complain too much, though. Have had a pretty mild winter so far. :{_}:
Thanks for sharing the pics.

Hey Rudi (My Friend)...THANKS for the nice words on my Model 73 :D The rear ags & tri-ribs on the front are Deestone tires from Tucker Tire ( http://www.tuckertire.com ). Just got a NEW complete set of "shoes" for my Carol Elizabeth Cub from Tucker Tire. GREAT folks to deal with and their shipping is fast and less expensive than other dealers :{_}: ...'Country'

Yours sure looks great. I was set to go look at the 73 here in town this morning. I called the guy and he said his tank was leaking so he ordered a replacement that will arrive on tuesday :?

He has it apart, so Its not worth looking at if a can't run it

I could have brought a pony tank-if he would have let me know first. Now I figure he won't negotiate price if he puts a new tank on
We'll see

He said he has extra governor, Original rear rims and tires, and an extra engine block that go with the cadet
Cant wait to go see it!!

I'll keep you posted Country

In my area of East Tennessee, Brinly #8 (8 inch plow) & #10 (10 inch plow) sell for between $120. to $140. (unrestored). Hope that helps answer your question :D ...'Country'

Really like cutting grass with my little 126, it brings out the farming in you and turns a few heads too.

Hey "Ida Red"...THANKS for the kind words about my Cub Cadet Model 73. Yes, these little Cub Cadets are STRONG and are a LOT of FUN to work & play with. Do you have any trouble getting parts for your Cadet Model 126 in Canada ? The 12 horse Kohler engine is one of the most reliable single cylinder engines ever built & easy to rebuild. Have you had to rebuild yours ? Do you have photos of your 126 that you can post ?...'Country'

Country I have never rebuilt mine. I lub the clutch springs with Fluid Film at the start of ever season. I use # 30 Esso std in her and she seems to run cooler. I always let her run a bit before ever shutting her down and blow the cylinder fins out of old grass. I could send a pic to your email but are not sure how on this site. I have a 12" Brinley bought in St.Louis but am now looking for someone to haul it to Mich. or Ohio area so I can pick it up and haul it home. A guy that had promised to do do the haul but caved in on me...

Hey "Ida Red"...Most of the guys I plow with down here use a Brinly 10 inch moldboard plow with 10 & 12 horse power Kohler engines. The only guys that I've ever seen using a Brinly 12 inch plow were pulling them with 14, 16 & 18 hp Kohlers and 3-point hydraulic hitches. I hope you get your 12 inch Brinly hauled up to you O.K ? ...'Country'
