Re: Artie gets out of the garageJim - a 3 point hitch would really look great on Artie! Outstanding work!

Re: Artie gets out of the garageI was just thinking about this when i clicked on the cadet forum. I have to see how you did the trannies. awesome job, Bill
Are you going to put 12v muffin fans were the fan blades were on the driveshafts to keep the hydro cool??? That baby is beggin for 8 29''-1250-15's I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Re: Artie gets out of the garage
I'm not planning on using any fans. A friend of mine has been using a scale 4020 JD for about two years now with a cadet hydro in it and does not have a fan in his. He has driven it quite a bit at shows and not had any problem. This one will not get worked so it should do alright. Thanks for the comments guys. I think the next photos I post will be the finished product. Bill here are some photos. The front driveshaft runs off the engine to the rear of the front hydro, then through the hydro to the rear driveshaft and then to the front of the rear hydro. Since the front hydro is in backwards I had to turn the charge pump on the front hydro 180 degrees to get it to pump and work properly. When you turn the charge pump your reverse become forward and forward become reverse and reverse is now faster than forward. With the tranny in backwards this worked out perfectly since the reverse on the front hydro is not forward. The rear driveshaft is a cub cadet snowblower driveshaft. The front driveshaft is a home made unit. Last edited by JimT on Thu Sep 29, 2011 6:40 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Artie gets out of the garageJim,
Looks great. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. Maybe on my way to Deep South in February. Larry
Re: Artie gets out of the garageThey offer some 30'' - 850-12's ag tires on ebay and 8 of them would look awesome on Artie there.
Ok JimT great job your on a roll. Here i go thinking out loud again,,,,,, I wonder if this can be done with two int154's too? You can install the 154 horizontal finals on two cadet hydro tranny's and articulate it like the cadet? You can put 4 of the 13.6x16 turf tires on it. Hint; Hamiltonbob's cubs in Ohio/ebay has stripped frames..... I found one of those big 100hp 4x4 articulated int tractors today with the long nose locally for sale for $7500. Dam i want it for a toy.......it just needs the 4 extra tires for duallies. $7,500 isn't much for a toy like this. I'd have to fab a mower deck and snowblower right? Its a '81 international 3588 100hp for $7,500 at tractor house in ct. Its arties big brother.... I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
