582 Price

What would you all say was a fair price for a 582 with mower deck in GC?
There's one in the paper for $600. Is this a deal or not.

That may be a bit high, but it all depends on condition, the part of the country you are in and what you want. It is a gear drive, with manual lift, and has a 16 hp flat twin B&S engine, or should have. It boils down to a whether or not you are happy with it and willing to pay that for it. If so, it's a good buy.
There is one on ebay right now (Jan 20, 9:49 PM, EST) that is at $500 and has 4 days to go.
