Model 73 Almost Finished!!!

Postby 'Country' Elliott » Thu Dec 30, 2004 3:33 am

I'm finally on the homeward bound stages of restoring my Cub Cadet Model 73 (built in early Feb. 1971) that I took delivery on at Cubarame #1 :D . Photos will follow soon (if I can find a way to post them) :? . I fired her up last night and that little K161 7 horse Kohler just came to life on the first click of the key :) ! Just need to hook up the headlights and Grote tail light to the light switch...AND THAT WILL BE IT :) ! Somehow life's just a little bit better when you get an old tractor running again  !

Hey Country,

Glad to hear you got the little relic fired up and going. Any chance we will see it at Fredericktown in '05 :?:

Several of us use http://www.picturetrail.com. You can sign up for a free trial, then upgrade to member status for only $19.95 a year. If you like, send the pics to me and I will post them for you.

Hey Dave...Don't be holdin' out on us...WHAT HAVE YOU GOT? Can you post any photos of your attachments?

There are a LOT of us in Tennessee who would be interested I'm sure. Have you got a Haban Narow Frame sickle bar?

Country,
As a matter of fact, I do have one that is due to be restored.

As far as cadets go: Got three originals that need to go, a complete 1650 with stock dual outlets/50 inch deck, 3-100's, 1-122, 1-123, 2- 129's, 127, 125 with front end loader, 124 rolling frame, 107 or 109 rolling frame, 3 Cases, and a Root.

My current project tractor is a 982 that is being fitted for a Kubota repower.
