QA-42

Postby pharmerphil3 » Sat Jan 15, 2011 2:55 pm

Good Day All,
I posted this on the cadet side, but I was hoping someone here might be able to help. I just picked up my "new to me" QA-42 snow blower for $100.00. It is in excellent shape, but it is missing 1 part, the rod that rotates the shoot. Can someone please post a "clear" photo of one so I can see how it attaches to the shoot, along with its length, & diameter? Any help would be appreciated. :D
Thanks for your time,
Phil

Page 12 of Jim T's post has a photo of the chute swivel control - same as on my snow blower.

From your photo, appears the u-joint is still there. You just need to make the handle.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Can someone give me a measurement on the chute rod?
I think it is 3/8" diameter but I need to know the length.

Thanks

the chute rotating rod is 3/8 diameter, it has an overall length of 32 inches and if trying to make one that looks close to stock it runs 30.5 inches and then starts making the bends to the D handle at the operator end.

I've got to ask for you to post pics of the blower mounted and working when the time comes.
