Farmall Cub

I am trying to get the collar off of the rockshaft rod that the lift plat attaches to.
I can't seem to get the spiral spring pin to drive out.
Any suggestions?

It has been soaking with PB Blaster for a few hours so far, I'll see if it is better tomorrow.

Also use a straight punch to drive it out. Use one that just barely clears the hole. A punch thats tapered won't work. Grump

Still no luck getting it to budge.
It is a 5/16" pin and my straight punch is only 1/4".
I'll pick up a 5/16" punch and see if it helps.
I even hit the punch with a 5 lb. sledge, the vibration hurt and the pin didn't budge.

Is the pin a roll pin or a spiral pin? I have drilled out roll pins.

Those pins can break and you have to line the pin up or it won't drive out. I never done this but I know it happens and the rock shaft will appear to work till you get a load on it.

It is a spiral pin, the parts list call it a 5/16" x 1 1/2" coiled spring, it looks like a rolled up newspaper.

I finally got the pin out!
I found a 5/13" punch and had my son hold it with a pair of vise grips and hit it with a 5 lb. sledge hammer until it moved, once it moved it came out just fine.

Now, if I can just get the collar off of the shaft, I can't get a puller in the narrow gap between it and the frame

Dave, I don't know if this would work in your situation, as I know nothing about CC's. When I was struggling to get an outer cone off the front spindle on a Cub, Ralph suggested using an air chisel and working around the outside till it loosened. Worked well there.
