I have a multiple line question;
1) my QA42a blower is heavy and I need an option to lift it electric
2) My scraper bld on the bottom, should I have it touching my blk top ? Is there a soft blade that wont scratch my driveway ( blk top )
3) Is there soft skis that wont scratch

1) Do you have a rear lift? If so, you could use both the IH helper spring on the left side and the brinly helper spring on th eright side that attaches to the bar going to the rear lift.
2) you could make a scraper blade out of lexan but I would set my shoes so it just clears.
3) make/use rollers instead of skids

Rear lift ??? Its a regular front mounted thrower.
Any idea how to make a bld from lexan ? The blades on these hav a recessec center so the bolts dont drag on the driveway

Here's a pic from the back of my 125
See the bar on the right side that attaches to the cast piece on the back? There is a spring on the inside. The front of the bar attaches to a piece on the lift handle.
Here's both type of springs/lifts
Left is the IH helper spring
Right is the rear lift with brinly helper spring

Nope, front lift muscle power ! Its just an arm like lifting a mower deck only the blower is MUCH heavier

I've got the helper spring that I used on my thrower. You can lift with one finger. I sold the tractor and don't need the helper. It's like new all parts and harware include. Let me know I'll send you photos. I sent you a PM

Mark does your spring attach where Jeff's does in pic above ?? If so I cant get to that spot because my rear weight is in the way.

On my 125, I removed the cast lift arm ( and backed off the spring on the right side ) but the left one easily clears.

Re: Cub 126 with QA42a blower, need help pls
My right arm lately is looking like popeye's too with all the lifting on attachments. Now with the snowthrower i been thinking of adding wheels to it maybe swivel wheels inplace of the skids. I also have the helper spring set up but i haven't installed it yet. I been thinking of making my 70 cub cadet have a longer wheel base so i can add the hydraulics and an hydraulic oil tank on the front too. Then lifting can be done with one finger. I been looking at the 12volt actuators too but i'm not sure how much of a beating they would take with the attachment. You may need a lifting chain to take up some of the attachment shock if any uses the 12vt actuators.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
