rebuild kit

Postby brichter » Sat May 12, 2007 8:08 pm

Does anyone sell a rebuild kit for the Kohler 10 hp motor? We have a Cadet 102 that is in need of a rebuild and we would rather buy the complete kit than try to get all the gaskets and such separately.

You can purchase individual parts including a gasket kit from your local auto parts store. One day service on most parts. One over sized piston took a month to be delivered.

It normally costs me around $100- in parts to overhaul one of the K series Kholers.

Normally you will need rings, gasket kit, and exhaust valve. Add another $50- if you need an over sized piston. But you need to wait until the engine is disassembled and measured before ordering parts.

There's a place on the net with discounted pistons(very cheap).
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Ebay usually has some decent deals on rebuild kits that have varying levels of parts. With or without a rod..etc.
