My 126 Clutch.....trouble?

Postby Ida Red » Thu May 10, 2007 9:16 pm

My 126 Kinda grinds in ever gear. Are there any adjustments I can try before having to replace the engine clutch with a new one? As well when the mower clutch squeals a little when engaging is it done also. Thanks for any info. Red May19,2007

The rod from the the clutch throwout arm to the brake/clutch pedal is adjustable to adjust the clutch. The squeal from the PTO clutch is probably the mower deck belt slipping, and if so the belt is not tight enough or needs replacing. There is nothing in that clutch to cause a squeal other than the bearing it rides on, and if that is bad it would continue to make noise after the PTO is engaged.
