Tiller Set-Up

Postby Harold R » Fri May 04, 2007 6:17 pm

I saw a thread earlier about the tiller set up, but I was wondering if what I got today will work on my 1450 Cub Cadet. The guy practically gave this away. I knew I should have taken it even if it wouldn't fit. The tiller and the gearbox all turn free.

I realized I wouldn't need the external pump, but would the linkage back to the lift be the same? My 1450 has an arm about where this one attaches to the hydro cylinder.

That is a 32" #1 tiller and will work on the 1450 if you have the 3 point option on your 1450. Here is the installation manual for the #1A which covers the quiet line models(the pictures are actually a #1 tiller as the only difference is the cover on the gearbox). These tillers really work great in small gardens.

The hydraulic unit(sought after for NF Cub Cadets) is nice to have but I don't know if they can be adapted to the quiet line but have been put on the 147 which had an electric lift.

Your 1450 comes with the hydraulic lift as standard. Here is the Operators Manual for the Quietline series if you don't have one.

The Geezer from IHregistry.com which crashed and is now Cub Cadet Collectors.

Thanks for those links. That answered most of my questions. Next I have to see if the hitch will work.
