Model 86 mower deck
While were on the subject of mower decks. What was the correct deck for a Model 86. I have an 86 that I got with a mule drive but no deck. I would guess that little motor would have trouble turning anything larger than a 38 in deck. Thanks Frank

Re: Model 86 mower deck
Frank:
I know diddley squat about Cub Cadets, except someday I want one.. hopefully....
However, I like to research so, I did a little on this question of yours... so the first place I turned to was the IH Cub Cadet Resources! thread here in the Cub Cadet Forum. I then went to the IH Cub Cadet Registry and checked out the Owner's Manuals link and found the Model 86 Manual. If you look on page 49, it is the Operating Instructions for International Rotary Mowers - (38, 44 and 50 inch 3 spindle) with wide oval runners and Quick Attachable Mounting section of the Manual.
So I guess this little Cub can run up to a 50 inch mower... But at the very least this pdf file (right click on the 86-108-109-128-129-149-169 Manual's and save target as to your hard drive), should give you about all the information you might need.
