128 Cub -----Value????????

Postby Ida Red » Thu Jul 13, 2006 10:39 pm

Can someone give me an idea what a real good original Cub Cadet-128 is worth.
It has new rear tires, runs real well, has had the mower serviced and has good original paint.
Thanks Red

Don't know. Can only provide my experience. Between $400- and $500- at auction.

I purchased a Cub Cadet 122 at auction for $420.oo (US) about 6 weeks ago. Tractor is in very good condition. One new front tire - rest good, 48 inch deck with original blades (seldom used) - almost new shape, and front (snow) blade. Tractor was used mostly to move snow. And a set of tire chains.

Like others have said, it is really up to you how much you would spend or want for it. Although, I have sold several 1x8/1x9 series cadets in the last few years, nere in New York, and the demand here does drive prices up a bit. I sold a CC 86 in excellent original condition with a snow blade, set of weights and chains for $800, and I sold another 129 in extremely good original condition for around $800 last summer, so that may give you an idea of prices. There were a bunch of those tractors produced, but they are just about the most popular of the CC series, for some very good reasons, wide frame, easier to work on, will accept attachments from later model tractors.

In the end, it is really up to you. I have had a bunch of those tractors, and wish I still had most of them. They are my personal favorite of the CC series, other than the 124 that I have now.
