Original Battery location

When we got my original it did not have a battery.
Where are the batterys supposed to be exactly and what type should i get
motor cycle or lawn and garden size?

The battery is under the hood, right in front of the dash. There should be a battery box of sorts, actually the battery sits on part of the dash pedestal with about a 5''strip of metal around it that forms a box. Use a Lawn and Garden type battery.
