has anybody ever tried to fabricate a 3pt out of steel? I know i saw a guy in wisconsin that sold them for a while. However, i missed out on that sale and i think i want to mount a tiller this year. So... i'm curious if anybody has tried to make one. It's probably not terribly complex, but then again, i better ask first.
In IH Cub Cadet I trust....

beaconlight, I believe he is referring to what IH called a 3 point for a Cub Cadet, not a Cub.
Yes, I have seen some homemade 3 points - some that both looked and worked good, some that looked homemade. Your 107 will also require the upper mount bracket that the upper casting normally mounts in. That bracket is not used on the earlier narrow frames, and is not used on the wide frames, just on the 106,107, 126, 127, 147.

I have also seen homemade ones and with 3 or 4 pieces of the correct size pipe and a welder it would be no problem. You only have to borrow one to get the correct angles. You also make the bracket if you got a heating torch.

We will be waiting to see the finished product. I don't have one to lend you as I only have 2 Original 3 point hitches.
