Starter generator

Postby cowboy » Fri Mar 17, 2006 10:33 am

Hi Guys as you may know I am building a lister diesel generator. Getting this 14hp single cylinder started is a bear.

I am thinking of going with starter generator. Being a belt drive it would be simple to setup. I do not know much about them so I am looking for ideals and sugestions. 5.118" Bore x 5.7" Stroke 17.5 to 1 Compression Ratio. The compression is not really a issue as I start it by hand and as long as it goes over the compression stroke it starts no matter how slow. It has four to six hundred pounds of flyheels get them spinning and flip off the compression relief.

If any one has one they think may work that you don't need let me know I will buy it if its not too much to see if it will work.

Thanks Billy
