I always try and have the snow equipment ready before thanksgiving. The full sized Meyer snowplow is all set for the year out at the farm, but I needed to get the CC out of summer mode and set for winter for my house.
Oil is all changed, tractor greased, and tires aired up. I've added 100LBS of ballast to the tires, now I just need the tire chains to be mounted. If I hadn't lent my ladder to a friend to hang Christmas lights, I could have gotten them down from the attic.
Installed a new Polyurethane cutting edge as well. The old steel one (an MTD replacement, probably 15 years old now) was already worn down on both sides. Naturally all of the bolts except the center one snapped off, even with penetrant. New stainless hardware was used on assembly.
Now I just hope it can sit in the garage all winter and not see any action!

Looks like it will get the job done. Have you ever used a blade with a polyurethane edge? I’m thinking it would be good for concrete and hard surfaces.
I just bought a modified CC blade for my 782. It has snow shoes, which will be alright for this year, but probably not as good as a poly edge.

This is the first Poly cutting edge I will be using. I have a combination concrete and gravel driveway, so I will get to see how it holds up.
The drive is only 20x40, so I can't see any reason to set the cub up when I let can easily be done with the smaller machine
