Decisions I hate it.

Postby BigBill » Mon Mar 09, 2020 1:42 am

I have to think about which cadet to repair. My 1200 cc lasted probably over a decade maybe more. I put a used Kohler 12 hp ags in my cc 1000. Funny it fouls plugs but hardly any smoke. I’m thinking about one of those Kohler master rebuild kits. Disassemble and mic everything. I can bore and hone it, change the valve guides and cut the valve seats.

The decision starts now. I have a 14 hp ags Kohler I had a decade or so. I was thinking of firing it up to see how she runs. Maybe swapping that into the 1200? If it has low compression put a rebuild kit into the 14 hp? These old engines were made to last.

I have a creeper and snowthrower for the wide frame too. So 12 hp or 14 hp what u say?

Now that physical therapy is working this is going to be a working summer time to catch up.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
