The model number of he round nose with the 22 on it is the same whether it has Lafayette 2009 on it or not. The red ones with Lafayette 2009 on them are an error, Lafayette 2009 was only suppose to be on the white demo. Spec cast just used up the unsold Lafayette show models without removing the Lafayette imprint on the oil pan

As far as which is worth more, probably the red one with Lafayette on it because there are less of them, and they are an "error" tractor. From what I have seen at a show or two since they came out they both (when you could find both versions) were selling for the same price, I assume because most people, including the dealers, didn't know there was any difference.

I tried to take pictures of of one with, and two without Lafayette, but the pictures are not very clear. The models are still in unopened boxes. The one w/o shows up good (side of oil pan), but the two with are not clear because the edge of the clear plastic tray the tractor is setting in is right across the lettering.

Dave:

Okey dokey, I can see that decal as well as the Cust #. Is there a ZJD model # as well?

Paul:

Well I can see the Lafayette on the oil pan. Now I will go check mine. I don't think it has the Lafayette on it. Will have to look for one I guess .. if it is to be found. I kinda like errors. I collect stamps as well and well you know the story on error sheets especially. Neither of my boxes are open either and I am going to leave em like that for a while.

Rudi,---think they are trying too be like the stamp and coin collectors.
Issue new ones just too sell by volume
I don’t mind buying the new models .—but 3 with the front blade is enough.
Could of added a few decals to the loader too :(

Farm Technology Days Toy Tractor Now For Sale
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/11/2010

Collectors of the annual Wisconsin Farm Technology Days' Commemorative Toy Tractor can already place their orders for the 2010 model. The Pierce County WFTD organization is selling a 1/16 scale 1949 International Cub tractor with cultivator, which is being produced especially for this year's event, being held at the Peterson farm near River Falls on July 20-22.

Only 1,000 of the tractors were made with the Pierce County Wisconsin Farm Technology Days logo. The tractor will also be packaged in a customized box. The proceeds of the toys are being used to help the host family pay for some of the expenses of holding the event.

"We have been attending farm and toy shows across Minnesota and Wisconsin," said Committee Member Jeff Hines. "There's been a lot of interest in the tractor from individuals and collectors."

The cost of this year's tractor is $80.00. For more information about this year's model or to order one, call 715-273-3377.

Farm Technology Days is an annual three-day event showcasing the latest improvements in production agriculture, including practical applications of recent research findings and technological developments.

Dave:

Thanks for that info. As soon as I get a new outboard drive case, I will add it to the 1/16 Spec Cast data file.

It may be hard to find some of these limited edition ones. I am assuming that there will still be the same unit but without the commemorative decals etc.
